About this event
Founded to honor Helsingør's rich maritime history, the Knejpe Festival transforms the town's historic harborside pubs and bars into vibrant music venues. Over two days, musicians from around the world perform traditional folk music, sea shanties, maritime rock, and acoustic sessions inside cozy, authentic sailor taverns ("knejper"). Festival-goers hop from pub to pub, enjoying cold local draft beer, authentic storytelling, and warm community singing. It provides an exceptionally cozy, nostalgic, and unique Danish "hygge" experience right along the Öresund coast.
